Just because the Super Bowl isn’t in Minneapolis this year, doesn’t mean the PARTY isn’t…come to the Pourhouse!

No need to stream alone, The Pourhouse is the place to be for Super Bowl 2019 viewing pleasure!

Super Bowl watching parties are an annual rite of passage. It’s the one time a year that everyone watches football together! Some of us are there for the game. Some of us are there for the television commercials. And finally, some of us are just there for the drinks and snacks. Who cares?! Being out with your people, partying on a Sunday night, or screaming at the television… what’s better than watching Super Bowl LIII playout on a bunch of glorious large television screens at the Pourhouse? (Well, the Vikings making it to a Super Bowl would be better, but let’s dream that dream again next season.)

Get off your couch, put on your favorite team gear, the fun starts @ The Pourhouse! Who is going to be your Super Bowl MVP: Tom Brady or Jared Goff? Better yet, who is going to be your party MVP: Free beer during the first quarter or the taco & nacho bar? We’ve got Super Bowl Watching parties happening at both the Pourhouse Downtown and the Pourhouse Uptown. Watch the big game with us!

What you need to know about the game

While it was fun having the NFL’s biggest event in Minneapolis last year, Super Bowl 2019 is being played at the Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta this year. All screens will be tuned in to CBS for the 5:30 pm kickoff. There are really only two things you need to know: 1. New England Patriots (Tom Brady, who is either the GOAT or a cheat), and 2. Los Angeles Rams (Jared Goff, 24-year-old fresh-faced novice).

Interestingly, this is a rematch of Super Bowl XXXVI, which was played in February 2002. In that game, first-year starting quarterback Tom Brady led the Patriots on a game-winning drive to cap a crazy upset over the Rams team. Seventeen years later, the Patriots are back in the Super Bowl with the same coach and quarterback while the Rams not only have an entirely different roster and coaching staff but also reside in another city.

Goff said on Opening Night that he doesn’t even remember watching that Super Bowl (Did someone pull a curtain? Because it’s suddenly shady over here.) This is the Patriots’ third Super Bowl in a row and if they win, Brady will set the record with the most wins by any player at six. To add to the pressure, if they lose, Brady will tie another player for the most losses by a starting quarterback in NFL history. Stakes are high – we bet that there is a good game ahead.
